The 5th Annual KNOWAutism Gala will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at The Briar Club. The 2019 Gala theme, “AS I AM,” is all about the power of acceptance and inclusion. The evening will include a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, dinner, musical performance by Kelly Levesque, surprise guests, and more. We will also be honoring Betty & Jesse Tutor as the 2019 KNOWAutism Humanitarian Award recipients.
Autism now affects 1 in 59 children in the United States. Children with autism have increased educational, medical, and behavioral health care costs, which often create significant financial strain for families. But early diagnosis and intervention can improve longterm outcomes and reduce the lifetime cost of care for children with autism.
We believe that no child should be left untreated due to lack of information, awareness, or financial resources. We also believe that greater acceptance and inclusion of people with autism can improve their quality of life, reduce strain on families, and provide autistic individuals (and their families) the opportunity to thrive. Our programs are focused on increasing autism awareness, providing families with financial assistance, and supporting community programs that serve children with autism and their families.
The Gala is our largest event of the year, providing us with the funding and resources we need to carry out our mission to improve the lives of children with autism. By purchasing a table, tickets, or making a donation, you will play an essential role in ensuring the success of this event and the continued expansion of our work.
This event will be a celebration of community, connection, and collaboration. We hope you will join us!
